New delhi, June 4 (ANI): Al-Qaeda-linked terrorist Ilyas Kashmiri,a key suspect in the Mumbai carnage and recent attacks at Karachi naval base attacks, has been reportedly killed in a US drone strike on Friday night.The US also blames him for organising multiple attacks in Afghanistan, Pakistan and India. Kashmiri was killed along with nine other terrorists in the strikes in South Waziristan.

Anna Hazare firm on joining Baba Ramdev's protest

Bajaj auto plans to launch small car in four years

New Delhi, 8 Jan (ANI): Bajaj Auto Ltd, India's No. 2 motorbike maker, on January 8th revealed its plans to launch a low-cost small car within the next two to four years, probably in collaboration with French carmaker Renault and Japan's Nissan Motor Company. The low-cost car will be designed by Bajaj and produced at its Chakan plant in Maharashtra. Chakan plant will also produce light trucks, which Bajaj expects to launch in 2009.

Vellore, Sept 2 (ANI): Police in Tamil Nadu detained 200 agitators of the Muslim community protesting against a local daily that published a cartoon of Prophet Muhammad. Dinamalar a leading daily in the state published the cartoon on September 2. The cartoon angered Muslim community, who first stoned the office of the newspaper and later destroyed 4 state run buses. Police has reportedly filed a case against the newspaper and is investigating the issue further.
