Mysore, July 02 (ANI): Three people died as communal clashes broke out in Mysore in Karnataka on Thursday over attempts to build a mosque on disputed land.A pig's carcass was found by the mosque officials on Wednesday night which apparently incited the violence.Police had to resort to tear gas shelling to disperse the mob. Some people were seen fleeing their homes.

New Delhi, July 2 (ANI): In a historic judgement, the Delhi High Court legalised consensual gay sex on Thursday by striking down Article 377 of the Indian Penal Code. A bench comprising Chief Justice Ajit Prakash Shah and Justice S Muralidhar said that if not amended, Section 377 of IPC would violate the fundamental rights under Article 14, 15 and 21 of the Indian Constitution.

New Delhi, July 2 (ANI): The recent petrol and diesel price hike by the Indian government did not go well with the common people as they expressed their displeasure over this pre-budget move. The prices were raised by as much as 10 percent on Wednesday. Petrol prices in Delhi rose by 4 rupees a litre, while diesel rates were hiked by 2 rupees a litre. This is the first and the steepest ever increase this year.
