CII and KPMG said that the Indian energy sector is showing a rich potential for investment in diverse streams, driven by a surging economy and the resulting demand-supply gap in the short run.

New Delhi, May 15 (ANI): India's Essar Projects Limited signed a contract with the Foreign Ministry to build a multi-modal transit transport project in Myanmar, which includes two jetties, a port and cargo barges, a ministry official said on Friday. The project named, 'Kaladan Multi Modal Transit Transport Project', involves construction of two jetties at Sittwe and Paletwa in Myanmar, dredging and construction of cargo barges, as well as the construction of a 120 km-long road, to facilitate cargo movement along the River Kaladan.
