Zardari, husband of assassinated former Premier Benazir Bhutto, spent 11 years in jail in connection with these cases. The court’s order is being seen as an understanding between President Musharraf and the PPP.

Sangli, Feb 27(ANI): Violence erupted in Sangli in India's western state of Maharashtra on February 27, as a mob went on a rampage to protest against Bollywood's epic film 'Jodhaa Akbar'. Over 200 protesters, belonging to an outfit called 'Shiv Pratishthan' gathered outside a multiplex demanded that the screening be stopped. Around 100 protesters were arrested by the police. The clashes left around 18 people seriously injured and also led to a shutdown in the city.

New Delhi, Feb 29(ANI): In a major bonanza to the salaried class, the FM proposed to increase the income tax exemption limits from Rs 1.10 lakh to Rs 1.50 lakh, in addition to restructuring the tax slabs. According to the proposed slabs, income between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh will be taxed at 10 per cent, between Rs 3 lakh and Rs 5 lakh at 20 per cent, while for Rs 5 lakh and above the rate would be 30 per cent in addition to 3 per cent education cess.
