Addressing an event in Nagpur, Bhagwat said that even some Muslim leaders opposed the division of land. three-bench panel of the Allahabad High Court in Lucknow on September 30 had ruled that the idols of Hindu god Lord Ram could remain on the disputed site in Ayodhya, as according to Hindu tradition it is his birthplace.

Chennai, December 13 (ANI): Vishwa Hindu Parishad General Secretary Praveen Togadia said on Sunday that the Indian government - as per their promise - should hand over all of the disputed land in Ayodhya town to Hindus, rather than leave a third for Muslims. Speaking to media persons in Chennai Togadia said the government in an affidavit had told the Supreme Court that the entire disputed site would be handed over to the Hindus if the ruins of a temple are found there. He added that the government should now deliver on its promise.
