Kathmandu, April 1(ANI): At least 87 Tibetan protesters were detained when they tried to storm the Chinese embassy in the Nepal's capital city Kathmandu on April 1 in the latest crackdown on demonstrations against Beijing. Groups of Tibetans have protested in front of the United Nations office in Kathmandu and near a Chinese consular office since last month but this was the first time activists managed to get close to the main embassy building in a high security zone.

New Delhi, April 1(ANI): Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar has been banned for five years by Pakistan Cricket Board at a disciplinary committee hearing on April 1. Haryana, April 02 (ANI): The Vulture Conservation and Breeding Centre in Haryana has achieved a rare feat with a chick surviving for more than 55 days after its parents nested in captivity. According to the State Forest and Environment Ministry it is the world’s first to survive that long after being born to vultures that nested in captivity. As per reports, 99 per cent of India's vulture population has vanished mainly because of consuming cow carcasses treated with an anti-inflammatory drug whose manufacture was banned in 2006.

Hyundai s domestic sales up 52 per cent in March

Exports increased 96.9% to 17,600 units from 8,939 units in March 2007. Air Deccan to seek government nod for foreign crew

Kingfisher had earlier applied for a similar permission with the directorate general of civil aviation or DGCA. But since the airline was not eligible to fly abroad, it was not granted approval.
