Mumbai, May 21 (ANI): City authorities in Mumbai tore down the home of a 'Slumdog Millionaire' child star Rubina Ali on Wednesday, forcing her family into the streets months after the Oscar-winning film shot her to global fame. Rubina was out with her aunt when the civic authority workers and the police landed at their house and asked them to vacate their house. When her father tried to stop the workers, they beat him up with sticks.

The agreement passed the House by a margin of 298-117. The Democrats who control the Senate hope to bring it to a vote there within days despite the opposition of some in their own party. Pune, February 14 (ANI): Pressing a conference in Pune today Home Minister P Chidambaram said the authorities have only a few clues as to who was behind the attack, which has killed nine people and wounded 57. The bomb blast ripped through the city’s popular German Bakery, close to the Osho Ashram and diagonally across from the Jewish Chabad House. Chidambaram also informed that Jewish Chabad House was surveyed by David Headley, the American national who was arrested in the United States last year, and charged with scouting targets for the Mumbai rampage.

Jharkhand, May 17 (ANI): Horrendous act, around 50 Maoists suspected to be cadres of People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) killed four brothers of the same family in Gumla district of Jharkhand. It was revealed, the ultras shot dead and later slit their throats with sharp weapons on Sunday night at a village named Dakia. Chandan Kumar Sinha, Sub-Divisional Police Officer on Monday said that the men were killed because they had a property dispute with some family members who were related to the rebels.

The apex court denied the appeal for death sentence for Dara Singh by CBI and maintained the judgement of life imprisonment given by the Orissa high court. Mitra added that the Supreme Court did not find the case as 'rarest of the rare' case since it was based on circumstantial evidence.
