Bikaner,October 23 (ANI): At least nine people died and several got hospitalised on Saturday after an outbreak of Malaria in Bikaner.Recent lashes of heavy rainfall have led to accumulation of water in different parts of city,acting as breeding grounds for mosquitoes.A senior medical official informed media persons about the actions being taken to prevent more deaths due to Malaria.Relatives of patients suffering from Malaria expressed their disappointment with the administrative authorities over their inability to control the situation.

Allahabad, October 23 (ANI): Scores of Hindu devotees converged on the bank of sacred Yamuna River in Allahabad on Saturday to take holy dip to please Hindu god of death, Yamraj. They offered prayers and lit lamps amid chanting of hymns. According to Hindu mythology both Yamraj and Yamuna are brother and sister. It is believed that if a person takes bath in the river in Kartik month of Hindu calendar, that is October-November, the lord is pleased. Thus, the fear of death from the minds of devotees goes away.
