Jammu, August 21 (ANI): Irate demonstrators burnt vehicles in Jammu on Thursday protesting over controversial shrine land row. A group of angry protesters went on a rampage damaging the vehicle of a senior leader Mangat Ram Sharma. The leader belongs to Congress party and is the former deputy Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, who was visiting the area. The protestors also set on fire four private vehicles parked in a by-lane.

Pakistani army medic killed in blast

Rawalpindi, Feb 25(ANI): A suicide bomber attacked a Pakistani military vehicle in Rawalpindi on February 25, killing the army's top medical officer, two of his staff and five passers-by. It was the first bomb attack outside the violence-plagued northwest since the general polls. According to a military official, Surgeon general Lieutenant-General Mushtaq Ahmed Baig, his driver and a guard were killed in the attack. The blast occurred on a main road crowded with mid-afternoon traffic.
