New Delhi, December 01 (ANI): The logjam in the Indian parliament continued for the 14th consecutive day on Wednesday after agitating lawmakers disrupted sessions in both Houses by creating uproar over the perceived government inaction in the multi-million dollar 2G telecom spectrum allocation scam. Shouting slogans, lawmakers gathered in the well of the Lok Sabha, as soon as the Speaker Meira Kumar walked in to preside over the session. The Lok Sabha was then adjourned for the day. Meanwhile, in the Rajya Sabha, Chairman Hamid Ansari was confronted with protests and disruptions by lawmakers, following which he, too, adjourned the House for the day.

A Raja and two aides sent to five-day CBI custody

New Delhi, February 03 (ANI): Former Telecom Minister, A Raja and his two aides- his personal secretary RK Chandolia and former telecom secretary Siddharth Behura, who were arrested yesterday in the 2G spectrum scam, were today remanded for five-day CBI custody by a CBI special court. After hearing the contentions of investigating agency CBI as well as defense counsels the judge pronounced the five days custody. Meanwhile, Counsel for A. Raja & R. K. Chandolia, Ramesh Gupta argued no rules were bent and refuted the allegation of CBI that Raja was not co-operating with investigating agencies.

Pune, February 22 (ANI): Death toll in the German bakery blast in Pune rose to 15 with two students succumbing to their injuries on Sunday. Rajeev Agarwal, a 23-year old student, from Kolkata breathed his last at the Jehangir Hospital in Pune. Earlier on Sunday another student Vikas Tulsiani, 24-year old youth of Pune also died at the hospital. Reportedly, the condition of six more injured victims of the blast presently hospitalised, continues to be critical.
