3 security men injured in fierce gun battle with Maoists
1:20 Bihar, August 30 (ANI): At least three security personnel were injured in the fierce gun battle between the Maoists and security forces in forests near Lakhisarai district of Bihar on Sunday. The encounter started after ultras fired at search parties of security forces who were in the region to bust a Maoist hideout. A joint operation of Bihar Military Police, State Auxiliary Police (SAP) and the paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force was launched after a tip off about a possible Maoist hideout in the hills of Seetikorani region in the district. Maoist ambush kills five jawans in Chhattisgarh
1:25 Chhattisgarh, August 30 (ANI): Five security personnel, including three BSF troopers, were killed in an ambush laid by Maoists, followed by a brief gun battle in Kanker region of Chhattisgarh on Sunday. About hundred armed Maoists attacked a search operation team in the forests near Bhuski village in the district. The attack took place in the morning when a team of district police and BSF personnel were conducting a routine search operation. Confirming the number of casualties, Vivekananda Sinha, spokesperson of Chhattisgarh Police said that even Maoists died in attack. Hizbul Mujaheedin militant surrenders in Jammu and Kashmir
