Chhattisgarh,August 23 (ANI): Women in Vilayatram, a village in Chattisgarh have formed a self-help group and started a small scale business of ready-to -eat nutritious food that caters to the needs of children in the age group of 3-6 years.Women from different religions, caste and creed have come together to make packaged food that helps reduce malnutrition among children.And the unity among the women who belong to diverse faiths and communities is the major contributing factor behind the success of this small-scale business.It is part of a project initiated by the state government known as Anganwadi or courtyard shelter.Today these women have taken charge of this childcare scheme.

China had expressed its displeasure through diplomatic channels on the recently concluded meeting between the Dalai Lama and Singh.

While announcing the catering contracts, on Saturday member of Organizing Committee Sanjeev Mittal said the catering for the lounges has been divided into eight clusters and given to three different firms. Mittal also said that the prices quoted earlier were too high, prompting the Organising Committee (OC) to go in for different packages. Mittal told the reporters that that menu would be diverse in the Village and estimated the total cost for the catering as Rs 939 million. The OC has engaged TQS Global Manufacturing Systems and TUVSUD, South Asia, for Food Safety and Audit to ensure high quality and hygiene. This contract is worth Rs 8.82 million.

Chairman of India's Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) announced this on Saturday. The 726-mega watt plant is coming up at Palatana, in Tripura, bordering Bangladesh, which has proven gas reserves of 8.4 trillion cubic feet. The Palatana power project combined with transmission links and gas pipelines is slated to bring in investments of around Rupees 90 billion, the largest ever single investment in India's remote northeastern region.
