Floods devastate villages in Rajasthan
1:13 Rajasthan, August 16 (ANI): Floods are wreaking havoc in Bundi district of Rajasthan as an embankment broke, inundating about six villages on Sunday. However, locals claim the embankment of the River Chambal, which was under construction, collapsed on Saturday night. The overflowing water has flooded nearby villages and farms. According to officials, hundreds of people in Bhimapura village have been stranded due to the floods. Rescue operations began on Sunday in which locals also took part. Curfew in Kashmir for fourth consecutive day

Kashmir's security forces get new protective gear

The robot-type riot gear shields all vital organs of the body, and consists of abdomen guard over trousers, thick foam-stuffed shin guards, arm-guards, helmet and a torso guard that covers the shoulders. The officials hope that the equipment introduced by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) would decrease the number of casualties during the unrest.
