According to met department, it started drizzling in various parts of the city early this morning. The rain drops turned into heavy downpour later. Forty-three millimeters of rainfall were recorded between 8.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. The rains also brought the mercury down to 23.1 degree Celsius, a notch below normal.
