BHEL to gear up production in the coming year

New Delhi, Dec 22(ANI): Bharat Heavy Electronics Limited or BHEL announced on December 21st that it will invest an additional Rs 220 crore at its blade shop in Haridwar. BHEL expects to upgrade its production to 2.25 lakh blades in 2009. The country’s largest power equipment supplier has already invested Rs 180 crore on the blade shop, set up in 2003 to produce 40,000 lakh blades.

Once owned by every household in Manipur, today their number has plummeted to below 1,000. General Secretary of Manipur Equestrian said that lack of adequate facilities and financial assistance for the conservation and preservation of the ponies has contributed to the extinction of the rare species.
