ISRO successfully launches PSLV C-15

Sriharikota,July 12 (ANI): India's Space Research Organisation on Monday successfully launched its Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle or PSLV-C 15,carrying Cartosat 2B, and four other satellites,from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) in Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh's Nellore district.The 230-tonne 44.4-metre tall four-stage rocket carried a total of five satellites into orbit.These satellites include remote sensing satellite Cartosat-2B from India,Alsat from Algeria,two nano-satellites from Canada and Switzerland and a pico satellite called Studsat built by 35 engineering students from seven colleges in Andhra Pradesh and neighbouring Karnataka state.

Allahabad,July 12 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Nandi has been critically injured following a bomb explosion outside his residence in Allahabad on Monday morning.The explosion was apparently caused by a bomb hidden inside a motorcycle parked near the minister's vehicle.Two security guards of the minister were killed and three policemen along with a local journalist Vijay Pratap Singh were injured in the bomb attack.The 36-year-old Nandi, who is the Minister for Institutional Finance, Stamp and Judicial Tax in the Mayawati government, was admitted to Jeevan Jyoti Hospital and had slipped into coma However, he recovered and is now reportedly put of danger.

Ajmer blast case: Joint investigation on: CBI Director

Mumbai, July 11 (ANI): Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Director Ashwani Kumar in Mumbai on Saturday said the CBI and the State police forces are jointly investigating the 2007 Ajmer bomb blast case. Kumar also said that the media would be informed about the court trials and the charges that will be made against the accused. CBI has reportedly claimed that two Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leaders allegedly shielded the 2007 Ajmer blasts accused. The CBI would be submitting its findings before the court soon.
