MP Forest officials train first dog squad to curb poaching

The initiative has been taken for the first time in the country in view of declining tiger population. The dogs are of German shepherd breed, also known as Alsatian. They are being trained for smell and search hides and bones of animals particularly tigers. Increasing exports augur well for textile sector, despite global meltdown

Maran mentioned that the share of textile and clothing exports increased from 11.03 to 12.36 percent over the past one year. Propelled by this unprecedented growth, the ministry has now directed exporters to adopt a 'Look East' policy, by expanding market base in Japan, Australia, South Africa and other Latin American and South Asian nations, the report has observed. Police recovered over 400 kilograms of explosives in WB
