Directed by Prakash Jha, Aarakshan is based on the controversial subject of reservation, an issue that has always been a potboiler in Indian politics. While interacting with media persons during a promotional event in Mumbai, the Big-B said that reservation is a very sensitive issue and this should be presented in front the society keeping in mind both the viewpoints. NATO chief says will not hunt Taliban in Pakistan

Kabul, July 25 (ANI): NATO will not enter Pakistan to hunt Taliban insurgents, but reserves the right for self-Defence if the militants attack the alliance troops from across the border in Afghanistan. General Secretary of NATO, Jaap De Hoop said that militant attacks in Afghanistan have jumped by 40 percent, following de-facto ceasefires between Pakistan's new government and insurgents in the tribal regions.

Mumbai, March 3 (ANI): Indian shares provisionally fell 5.12 percent on March 3, led by losses in Reliance Industries, with sentiment weighed down by a sell-off in global markets on growing fears of a recession in the United States. The 30-share BSE index provisionally closed down 900 points at 16,677, with 26 of its components falling. The broader 50-issue NSE index provisionally lost 5.35 percent to 4,944.05. It was mainly due to the growing fears of a recession in the United States that took a toll on the share markets.

Shops, business establishments, educational institutions and banks remained closed in observance of the shutdown call. The government recently decided to let the Hindu Shrine Board make temporary use of 40-hectares of land.

With the merger HDFC will instantly augment its branch network by 50% or 400 branches. Centurion also has Reserve Bank of India’s permission to open another 30 branches. Fee-based income has become important for banks as margins in their core business of lending are on a decline due to competition and interest rate pressures.

Wrapping his four day visit to China, Mukherjee handed over eighth earthquake aid consignment to the disaster hit country on Saturday. An IL-76 carrying 28 tonnes of relief material landed at Chengdu on Saturday. Handing over the relief to vice governor of Sichuan, Mukherjee expressed his solidarity and sympathy to the people of China.

Six die as tourist bus falls into a steep gorge

Bhatta Fall, May 24 (ANI): At least six people are reported to have died when their bus fell into a deep gorge in Uttarkhand. Thirty-five persons were injured in the incident. The bus was headed towards the tourist resort of Mussorie when it went out of control and fell into a gorge. Senior Superintendent of Police of Dehra Dun Amit Sinha said that they are yet to ascertain the exact reason behind the bus falling into the gorge.

Patients have been admitted to Dayanand Medical College in Ludhiana. Caused by aedes aegypti mosquito Dengue is one of the oldest anthropod borne diseases known in India. Characterized by severe muscle and joint pains, the fever can prove fatal if it develops into a more severe form, dengue hemorrhagic fever.

Blast hits a passenger bus in Sri Lanka

Colombo, Feb 23(ANI): A suspected Tamil Tiger bomb blast destroyed a passenger bus on the southern outskirts of the Sri Lankan capital Colombo on February 23. However there are no immediate reports of any fatalities. Hospital officials where the injured were admitted said that eighteen people had reached there following the blast. The explosion occurred at a bus stand in the town of Mount Lavinia, just south of Colombo.
