The government of United States approved this vaccine, which has been developed by a US-based Dendreaon Corporation, the first company to show, a cancer vaccine can extend patient survival. Provenge, the world's first cancer vaccine that treats prostate cancer after it has been diagnosed, helps the patient live longer. Unlike traditional vaccines that prevent a disease, Provenge treats prostate cancer by stimulating the body's own immune system to attack malignant cells.

Two Hizbul militants killed in J and K

Jammu and Kashmir, May 10 (ANI): Indian security forces on Sunday gunned down two militants of Hizbul Mujahideen in a gun battle at Nathura Kot village in Reasi region of Jammu and Kashmir. Acting on a tip-off that some militants were hiding in the Khour belt of the district, personnel of Indian Army and police launched a joint operation on Saturday evening. Eventually, the militants were tracked down and in the ensuing encounter they were shot dead. The two militants were known by their alias names, Abu Rehman and Arif.
