Security beefed up at special court ahead of Kasab's sentence

Mumbai, May 06(ANI): India cast a tight security net around the special court in Mumbai on Thursday ahead of the sentencing of Mohammed Ajmal Kasab, the lone surviving Pakistani gunman for his role in the 2008 attacks on the city. Police personnel have completely cordoned off the area around the court and are keeping a close vigil on every movement around the area. Close circuit cameras have been installed to record all movements around the court building.

Indian Navy's UAV crashes before landing in Kochi

Kochi, May 06(ANI): An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) of the Indian Navy crashed just prior to landing in Kochi on Wednesday evening. The accident occurred at 7.30 pm (local time) after the UAV, returning from a routine training mission, was proceeding to land at the Southern Naval Command base. The UAV crashed about 400 metres away from the thickly populated Vathuruth area but there are no casualties or injuries.

The Mumbai court will deliver his sentence on May 06. Kasab was held guilty on May 03 on 86 charges, including murder and waging war on India.
