Imphal, April 25 (ANI): Fencing along the India-Myanmar international border at Moreh in Manipur is in progress, to check illegal drug trafficking and movement of militants. The first phase of surveying the border fencing work was taken up at Moreh town in Manipur, along the porous Indo-Myanmar border in 2009. The states of Manipur, Nagaland and Mizoram have been identified as a transit point for illegal trafficking by the United Nations Drug Control Programme (UNDCP) and International Narcotic Control Board (INCB).

Afghan foreign minister Rassoul arrives in New Delhi

New Delhi, April 25 (ANI): Afghanistan's Foreign Minister Zalmay Rassoul arrived in Indian capital New Delhi today on a two-day visit during which he is scheduled to hold a series of meetings with his Indian counterpart, S M Krishna, and other senior officials. Rassoul's visit paves the way for the visit of Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai to New Delhi. Karzai, also on his way to Bhutan to attend the 16th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit, will stop at the Indian capital for two days and is expected to arrive New Delhi on Monday.
