Notorious criminal shot dead in encounter with Noida Police

Noida,April 12(ANI):Notorious criminal,Farooq Langda,who carried a bounty of 50,000 Rs, was killed in an encounter with Noida Police in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.The Noida Police,acting on a tip off police started frisking vehicles on Express Highway and spotted a suspicious Maruti Zen.When police intercepted the vehicle,the driver opened fire on the police party. In retaliation,police shot at the vehicle and injured one of the miscreants but two others managed to escape.He was admitted to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

Although security forces have gunned down 20 militants in recent months from the Kalakot and Budhal region in Rajouri district, still inputs of more militants on loose, are being received. Sensing the situation, VDC members have started keeping a close vigil in the Kalakot region. The VDC members have even started performing night duties in order to make the locals feel safe and secure.
