Kashmir, January 13 (ANI): Two militants of Pakistani militant group Lashkar-e-Taiba were gunned down by the security forces after a prolonged encounter in Kashmir on Tuesday. The operation began on Monday after a tip off that some militants had holed up on the outskirts of Abhama village near Pulwama, about 60 kilometres from Srinagar. On being challenged, the militants started firing at the security personnel who had surrounded them.

As per reports Chinese authorities detained 21 Indians last week on charges of diamond smuggling in the Shenzhen region. The arrests by Beijing come in the wake of three Chinese engineers detained by India in its central state of Chhattisgarh in connection with a chimney crash at the BALCO plant.
