New Delhi, May 31 (ANI): The country's top refiner and oil marketing firm, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) declared its annual financial results for financial year 2010-11 in New Delhi on Monday. Later interacting with the mediapersons, IOC Chairman R S Butola said the company is facing an under recovery of about Rs. 4 .58 per litre of petrol. Further he noted that the company is planning to borrow about 50 to 60 billion rupees every month if they did not get any compensation from the government on subsidised fuel sales.

Kamrup, May 31 (ANI): At least 24 people were killed after a bus, carrying a marriage party, plunged into a rivulet while crossing wooden bridge in Kamrup district of Assam on Monday late night. N. Dutta, Superintendent of Police of Rural Kamrup said the bus was coming from Guwahati and was carrying a marriage party when it plunged into a small stream around 10:30 pm. The locals extended helping hand in rescue operation and the bus was fished out. However, Dutta further informed that around 7-8 passengers are still feared to be trapped.

National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets collected tobacco products from the people and in return distributed chocolates among them. The highlight of this procession was that the two large models of cigarettes were burnt by the volunteers as a sign of protest against tobacco consumption.

Pranab confident of maintaining revised estimate
