France, July 14 (ANI): France marked Bastille Day with its annual grand parade in Paris on Tuesday. French President Nicolas Sarkozy arrived and waved to the crowds before standing for the national anthem. India was the guest of honour at the military parade and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh joined Sarkozy in applauding the ongoing military displays, as 400 members of the Indian air, ground and sea forces participated in the event.

While hearing a number of petitions against the process of land acquisition the court proclaimed that the state government’s land acquisition process was legal. Govt orders independent probe into plane crash

Faridabad / New Delhi, May 26 (ANI): Civil Aviation Secretary Nasim Zaidi on Thursday said the investigation into the plane crash in Faridabad, would be conducted by an independent body. She noted the committee would not include members of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the apex aviation regulatory body. Zaidi said the inquiry committee would determine cause of the crash of the P-12 turboprop aircraft, its contributory factors, and recommendations in order to prevent future accidents. Zaidi noted the commander of the ill-fated plane had reported bad weather just before the crash.

Lately, the population of Peacocks has been dwindling across the country due to various reasons ranging from poaching to ingestion of poison through pesticides and insecticides from the fields. Figures show a success rate of about 50% with around 169 peacock eggs hatched through this process. After their growth the authorities plan to send these chicks into the wild.
