Five swine flu cases detected in Orissa

Sundergarh,November 5 (ANI): Five schoolgirls of Sundergarh district in Orissa were tested positive for Swine flu.The victims are the students of a Kanyashram school at Jampalli village near Rajgangpur,about 45 kilometres from Rourkela.According to reports, some students from the Kanyashram complained of normal fever.Later, these students were given medication, but the number of affected students kept on increasing.Chief District Medical Officer, B K Kindo informed that all the students were given the treatment as soon as they were detected found carrying the virus.

UIDAI to rope in utilities, banks and service providers

New Delhi, November 19 (ANI): Nandan Nilekani, Chairman of Unique Identification Database Authority of India, India's citizen's database authority, in New Delhi on Wednesday said that various banks, tax authorities, utilities and other service providers would be roped in to enroll people for the unique identification number. He also said that UIDAI will roll out the gigantic scheme in one-and-a-half year's time and would cover 600 million people in five-and-a-half years.
