Gujarat, October 18(ANI): Property worth millions went up in smoke, as a fire broke out in a textile-printing mill in Surat in the wee hours of Sunday. Twenty fire fighting vehicles fought the raging fire that broke out at Ujjala dye and printing mill in Pandesara, an industrial town in Surat. No casualties have been reported. The fire fighters had a tough time to bring the fire under control as they had to ensure the fire does not reach 25 other such mills in the surrounding area.

Six firemen get caught in lift, die due to suffocation

Thane, October 18(ANI): Six Indian fire fighters were killed after getting trapped in the lift of a 14-storey building that was on fire. The incident took place in Thane district of Maharashtra in the wee hours of morning on Sunday when the firemen were coming down after dousing the fire at the 14th floor of the Tarangan apartments building. The fire fighters suffocated to death due to the toxic fumes in the smoke.
