Noida,April 12(ANI):Notorious criminal,Farooq Langda,who carried a bounty of 50,000 Rs, was killed in an encounter with Noida Police in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.The Noida Police,acting on a tip off police started frisking vehicles on Express Highway and spotted a suspicious Maruti Zen.When police intercepted the vehicle,the driver opened fire on the police party. In retaliation,police shot at the vehicle and injured one of the miscreants but two others managed to escape.He was admitted to the hospital where he succumbed to injuries.

Tension prevails at AP border after demolition of police outpost

Assam, August 24 (ANI): Tension continues to prevail in Charaipung area along the border of northeastern states of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh after a militant group demolished an under-construction barrack of Assam police in the area. Suspected activists of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland - Khaplang (NSCN-K) claimed that the area where the outpost was erected was theirs. They also fired at an Assam police picket, injuring a constable. Police personnel of both the states and the central paramilitary forces have started joint patrolling to bring the situation under control.
