Akola, August 1 (ANI): Continuous heavy rainfall has wreaked havoc across Akola district of Maharashtra. The floodwaters have damaged homes and inundated roads, bringing normal life in the city to a virtual standstill. Due to the overflowing water in the Katepurna dam in Akola district, 30 villages have been sounded high alert. Heavy downpour in the area burst the embankment of streams, forcing villagers to abandon their homes and hearth and move elsewhere.
