New Delhi, December 1 (ANI): India's outgoing Finance Minister Palaniappan Chidambaram on Monday took charge of the Interior Home Ministry after the resignation of incumbent Shivraj Patil in the wake of the Mumbai terror attacks. According to a communique issued by the President's office, Finance portfolio would be looked after by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Singh had held the Finance portfolio for five years under the late prime minister P V Narasimha Rao.
